DESCRIPTION:
Gabriel, London, astronomical regulator tall clock, 8 days, time only, brass weight driven movement with Graham deadbeat escapement, bolt and shutter type maintaining power in a mahogany veneer case with dome top and silver dial signed by maker.
CONDITION:
the case has an old finish with some veneer separation around door frame and a one inch piece absent from top of door. The front feet are very old replacements. There is a minor split on the right near the access door. The glass vial on the pendulum, formerly filled with mercury now contains a metal cylinder. The pendulum will need a new suspension spring and the door lock will need adjustment or replacement. The dial is in excellent condition. This clock has a great diminutive appearance for an astronomical regulator and is in good condition.
